I joined "The Biggest Loser Challenge" at work this week. Sixteen participants have joined so far and mostly are competitive people! It will be fun!
I started at 147.6 and set my goal for 135. I am excited and finally motivated.

Struggling
I'm struggling. I know I should exercise but find 20 other things that need to be done instead.
And knowing that we are going on vacation in less than week doesn't help either. I keep thinking "oh I'll make it up by exercising every day we are on vacation." Yeah right!
I made a committment to exercise a minimum of 3 times a week. (Earlier this year the momentum was great and I was exercising 5-6 days a week!)
I've only exercised twice this week. Guess I better get off this computer and get started!

My Fitness Journey
Wow...this year has been amazing.
After a slow start at the first of the year (and much prayer!) I finally got on the ball and started exercising and eating balanced nutritious meals.
I've used the Weight Watchers plan several times in the past and started it on January 8th. One of my goals was to lower my cholestrol level that was 288! My doctor wanted to start meds but I wanted to try weight loss and exercise first.
Armed with menus, exercise DVD's and motivation from the Weight Watcher Website I set out on my fitness journey. I began at 165 lbs ( I am 5'5") and set my goal for 25 lbs loss.
I love Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds Dvds and starting exercising with them on a regular basis. After listening to her instructions a few times, I started muting the DVD and playing my own praise and worship music. It was awesome. It seemed the more I exercised, the more I wanted to exercise! It was a complete new attitude for me! LOL
At the end of January, I returned for another physical. This time my cholesterol was 197! I can't tell you how excited and motivated I was! By June I was reached the 20 lbs loss and weighed in at 145 lbs. It's really amazing how much difference 20 lbs can make. (But if you think about a 20 lb turkey and imagine that on your hips, thighs, stomach and back end.....it really is a lot!)
Today, I am still maintaining the 20 lb loss. I'd like to lose 5 more....we'll see.
I do know that my dangerous time of year is approaching. Looking back at previous years, from my birthday in September through the end of the year is when I gain the most weight. I've already decided I will not do it this year.
As Weight Watchers says "Be an After and Stay An After". That's exactly what I plan to do!
